WGCC Welcomes New Local Grateful Dead Radio Show And Announces Changes To Its Monday Evening Lineup

WGCC is pleased to announce the addition of a new locally produced and hosted program coming to our Monday evening lineup. "New Grateful Boogie" will air every Monday night at 10 PM on 104.1 FM, and will also be available as a podcast at wgccradio.org.  The show, Geneva's ONLY locally produced radio program to emphasize the music of The Grateful Dead, is hosted by JJ Nicholson. Listeners may already know JJ from his existing Indie/Eclectic program Radioschool, which will continue to be heard Tuesday nights at 10. With New Grateful Boogie, JJ gifts us with his vast library of live Grateful Dead recordings from the 1970s onward, as well as his own personal musings about The Dead, their music, and his own experiences having attended two dozen live Dead concerts during his lifetime.  The show will also occasionally feature live tracks from other similarly minded Jam Bands with a similar vibe.  The new Monday evening lineup will also include a new syndicated progr...

WGCC Adds Two New Urban Music Shows On Thursday Nights

 WGCC is pleased to announce the addition of two new programs to its increasingly diverse lineup. At 10 PM, we bring you House Culture, a program featuring the best in House music from across the country and beyond. This show comes to us from WBDY community radio in Binghamton. Then at 11, stay tuend for the Hip-Hop Chronicles. This is a Hip Hop show specially crafted for public and community radio syndication from WEAA in Baltimore. The show documents and chronicles the history of Hip Hop and includes special features and segments every week.  Indigenous In Music With Larry K shifts to Sundays at 1 AM. WGCC Partners With Finger Lakes 1 To Bring Select Content To The Local Radio Audience

 WGCC, Geneva Community Radio, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Finger Lakes 1. Finger Lakes 1 has an outstanding reputation for its coverage of local news. Now, Finger Lakes 1 is making several of its distinctive weekly audio podcasts available to the local radio audience via WGCC. New Local Show Debuting Thursday 6/4 At 9PM

 WGCC is pleased to announce the debut of another new locally produced music program. TechnoBox is a new, weekly, 1 hour electronic music show hosted by local DJ David Forbes. Each week, David will offer listeners a wide panorama of electronic sounds ranging from Techno to Ambient to Experimental, and everything in between. It's a show where he explores music that has had much meaning for him personally throughout his life. Tune in Thursdays at 9PM for TechnoBox with David Forbes on 104.1 FM WGCC. The syndicated Synthpop Nonstop show which had been airing in this timeslot moves to Wednesday nights at 11PM.

WGCC welcomes another new local show

 We are pleased to announce the debut of "Radioschool With JJ Nicholson" to WGCC's Tuesday night lineup. JJ has a huge passion for Indie, Alternative, and other innovative forms of music, and a HUGE music library to match! Inspired by pioneering Alt radio stations out west like KEXP in Seattle, JJ will present an hour of eclectic, independent, rarely heard music every Tuesday night at 10. His show will have a frequent thematic approach, and his debut is no exception. "Ladies First" will spotlight some of the best Indie and Alternative musical acts fronted by women.
