WGCC welcomes another new local show

We are pleased to announce the debut of "Radioschool With JJ Nicholson" to WGCC's Tuesday night lineup. JJ has a huge passion for Indie, Alternative, and other innovative forms of music, and a HUGE music library to match! Inspired by pioneering Alt radio stations out west like KEXP in Seattle, JJ will present an hour of eclectic, independent, rarely heard music every Tuesday night at 10. His show will have a frequent thematic approach, and his debut is no exception. "Ladies First" will spotlight some of the best Indie and Alternative musical acts fronted by women. So join our newest local volunteer, JJ Nicholson, for his new show Radioschool each and every Tuesday night at 10. Here, and ONLY here, on 104.1 FM, WGCC!

And We're Off! Or Maybe That Should Be ON!

No, you're not hearing things. There really is something there at 104.1 FM now. WGCC is testing its signal and equipment. The dream is finally coming true! As Program Director of WGCC, I have to extend my sincerest thanks and utmost gratitude to Belinda Venuti and the rest of the crew at Geneva Community Projects. Their efforts, wisdom and guidance have proven crucial in this effort. Also, thanks to all those who donated time, money and other services, including attorney Mark Venuti. Thanks also to broadcast engineer Mark Humphrey who was instrumental in getting us on the air. And, a heartfelt thank you to those of you who have already expressed interest in volunteering with the radio station. All in all, I feel WGCC will be truly great, and it's all thanks to all of you. Stay tuned, Geneva! Lots more to come! Jason Longwell

New Local Shows Already in Development

I would like to thank those of you who have already expressed serious interest in hosting a local show on WGCC. If this response is any indication, it won't be long before many others come forward once we hit the air on FM. Two new shows are in development, with three others in the exploratory phase. You can add your show proposal to the growing list. Email genevaradio@gmail.com to start the process.
