SPECIAL HALLOWEEN BROADCAST

WGCC is pleased to present in its entirety the historic October 30th, 1938 broadcast of The Mercury Theater On The Air, starring Orson Welles in their adaptation of the Sci-Fi classic "War Of The Worlds" by acclaimed British author H.G. Wells. This broadcast, initially thought to be a ratings flop, would go on to become one of the most famos/infamous broadcasts of the Golden Age of Radio, as millions of Americans listening in actually believed that our country really was being invaded by Martians. We will present the broadcast exactly as it aired 88 years to the day and to the hour. Join us Friday, 10/30 at 8 PM to hear a piece of real radio history!
